Our aim is to publish content such as battle reports, painting and scenery tutorials, background discussions and other stuff related to the setting we are passionate about. We have moved our blog: Īs the name suggests, we will focus on Warhammer Fantasy in all forms, through 8th edition, prior editions, 9th Age or other fan mades - whatever it is. We the players of The Gates of Kislev and some recent "recruits" have gathered in an association, Escribas del Viejo Mundo (Scribes of The Old World). Hi mates! Thank your for your comments and support (TL DR)Īnd I'm glad I found this forum (have been lurking around from time to time before this post) as it really seems to be the right place to do that and I'm glad I found this thread (though late) as it is just the motivation and inspiration I need. When I got everythig together and the (social) circumstances are right, I'll start my Middenheim vs Nurgle armies and will try to get it together and painted as fast and as coherent as possible. Also putting countless hours into conceiving conversions, scouting for fitting bits and researching design/Lore. I spent the last year buying the last remaining pieces of cheap WHFB stuff (mainly Empire, Skaven, Beastmen, Chaos Warriors) from the known independant retailers and scraping up classic models and bits via ebay. Now that my study time is about to end, I'm hoping within the next 1-2 years to have enough money, time and space to fully dive into this wonderful world. I have been into 40k for more then 10 years now (mainly converting and some painting) and always had an eye on the wonderful WHFB model line, but always told myself 'nope buddy, 40k is money and time consuming enough!'. Initialised by a WHFB/Empire exaltation the wonderful Total War: Warhammer (and Vermintide II as well) bestowed on me combined with GW's cruel crushing of the beautiful Warhammer Fantasy Universe and cutting the WHFB model range (propably with a fatigue for the horrible new 40k fluff/stuff I was coming from) I recognised it was about time to finally get into WHFB. It's quite funny I just discovered this thread yesterday while I'm actually in the middle of preparing something similar to what you guys did (on a much much smaller base of course). So much dedication, so much talent, so much good taste and staying thruthful to ones principles. I spent the last two days scrolling through this awesome thread and almost every new picture conjured up a smile on my face.
